March 17th - Starry Plough's 41st Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration feat. Driving With Fergus, The McBride Irish Dancers and more! Doors open at 11:00am

Join us for the most outrageously fun day of the year!

For the 41st year The Starry Plough, Berkeley's purest Irish revolutionary pub, celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with almost 12-hours of continuous fiery Irish music and dance.

For the 12th year Driving With Fergus will conduct a marathon show from 7pm until the pub closes in the wee hours. The quartet will bring in guest musicians, singers from the crowd, the mighty Lee Martin on pipes (as loud as the amplified band!) and plenty of jigs, reels and songs played on Irish flutes and tinwhistles, fiddle, tenor banjo, Irish bouzouki, and Irish drum.

Around 6pm the magnificently attired McBride Irish Dancers will be on hand with their impressive footwork and mastery of the form. Dancing in the afternoon and at various times throughout the night will be led by John Slaymaker & the Monday Night Céilí Dancers, who encourage you to join in!

Bring a hearty appetite and a healthy thirst; the kitchen will be serving tender $12 Corned Beef and Cabbage dinners. No green beer, no phony accents, just the best Irish trad musicians in the Bay Area leading the participatory crowd in an evening of spirited appreciation of Irish music and dance.

Doors open at 11:00am
