Friday, Feb. 6: The Mike Glendinning Band + The Donavan Plant Band + Wesley Woo

Rock & roll straight from the garage to your angry heart

The Mike Glendinning Band 11:15pm-12:30pm

Mike Glendinning is one of a kind, a guitarist whose anger and sense of beauty run close to the surface, exploding from amplifiers or CDs a unique, edgy, fluid style he calls grunge jazz. It's outsider music finding its roots in two distinct zones: the intuitive, soulful poetry of jazz improv, and the edgy, dirty attitude of a metal guitar survivor flipping off the universe.

The Donavan Plant Band 10:00pm-11:00pm

San Francisco bay area native Donovan Plant blends country and rock influences with lyrics inspired by the city. In 2011 he released his first EP, "Be With You" (NiteFlite Music - Germany) which included a video produced by Ricky Kelley. Donovan is currently working on securing outside writer placements and material for a full length album to be released in 2015.

Wesley Woo 9:00pm-9:45pm

Wesley is an award winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist with roots in Motown, Blues, and Alt. Rock. His songs sound somewhere between The Temptations, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Nine Days, although this is constantly subject to change. He was awarded "Best Song of the Year" by the West Coast Songwriters SF chapter in 2013 for his song "Stay," which released with his 2014 album "Do Re Mi" earlier this year.
